Curriculum

Consequent upon the pressing demands from the elite citizens of Sawantwadi and with the dream of the Founder member Mr. Achyut Sawant Bhonsale, YASHWANTRAO BHONSALE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL was started under the aegis of the society in the year 2016 with 141 students on its roll. The school is in process of affiliation to CBSE. New Delhi. However, the school follows the affiliation Bye laws in academics and facilities.

The institute has made tremendous progress since its inception in academic results and in overall development of the students under the experienced Principal and the staff.

The Curriculum is based on the National Curriculum Framework with the content of books verified by the Head of Departments and the Principal. The NCERT books are followed from the middle school.

Subjects

The subject offered to the students are Classes 1 and 2 have English, Hindi, and Mathematics, Environmental Science and Marathi as main subjects. Computers, Value education, General Knowledge, Music, Art and Craft and PT are graded ones.

Classes 3 to 5 have English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Marathi as main subjects. Computers, Value education ,General Knowledge, Music, Art and Craft and PT are graded ones.

Classes 6 to 10 strictly follow the NCERT syllabus with the main subjects as English, Hindi, Marathi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Computers, Value education, General Knowledge, Music, Art and Craft and PT are graded ones.

Minecraft Coding, Herbal heritage, Financial Literacy and Mask Making are skill subjects taken for classes 6 to 8. Class 9 and 10 have IT (402) as Additional Skill subject for Board Exams.

Methodology

The methodology of teaching is executed with the help the tools and techniques prescribed by the CBSE .The teaching aids and audio visual aids are supportive for the excellence in academics. The education goes with activity based teachings.

The assessments are followed as prescribed by the board. Classes 1 to 5 follow the Uniform assessment pattern of CBSE and Classes 6 to 10 are practiced with the board pattern of CBSE with the two terms The skill development, activities, Co-Curricular activities and physical fitness with the health and hygiene of an individual is taken into consideration.

Classes I and II “No Home work Policy”. Rest all alternative to Home-work Policies.
